Terms of Service
Last updated: August 9, 2026
Welcome to Orbit. These terms are the agreement between you and Orbit for using our app and website. By creating an account or using Orbit, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Orbit.
1. Using Orbit
Orbit is a group-planning app that lets you form Circles, make plans, vote on options, RSVP, split and settle expenses, get AI place suggestions, and save plan memories. You may use Orbit only in line with these terms and applicable law.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use Orbit. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Provide accurate information when you register, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Circles and your content
Orbit is designed to be shared within a Circle. Content you add — plans, options, comments, expenses, and photos — is visible to the members of that Circle. You keep ownership of the content you create. By adding content to a Circle, you grant Orbit a limited license to store, process, and display it as needed to operate the service for you and your Circle.
You are responsible for the content you contribute. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, and be considerate of the other people in your Circle.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or use Orbit to harass, harm, or violate the rights of others.
- Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else’s rights.
- Attempt to access data outside your own Circles, or probe, scan, or breach our security.
- Reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the service, or use it to build a competing product by scraping.
- Misuse invitations or notifications to spam people.
5. Expenses and settling up
Orbit helps you record shared expenses, split them, and calculate who owes whom. Orbit does not process payments, hold funds, or move money. Any actual payment between you and your Circle happens outside Orbit and is your responsibility. Orbit’s totals are a convenience; you and your Circle are responsible for confirming amounts and settling in good faith.
6. AI suggestions
Orbit can suggest places and ideas using AI, grounded in real venue information where possible. Suggestions are provided as helpful starting points and may be incomplete or out of date. Details such as hours, prices, and availability change, so confirm anything important directly with the venue before you rely on it.
7. Optional device permissions
Some features use optional permissions — location for nearby suggestions, contacts for invites, and photos for memories. These are your choice and can be turned off in your device settings. See our Privacy Policy for how this data is handled.
8. Availability and changes
We are actively building Orbit and may add, change, or remove features over time. We aim to keep Orbit available and reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend or limit the service for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Orbit and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use Orbit in a way that risks harm to others or the service. On termination, your right to use Orbit ends, and we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
Orbit is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements or that suggestions, totals, or content will be accurate or reliable.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orbit will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Orbit evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Orbit after an update means you accept the revised terms.
